Coffee Reviews

coffees from week of 8-1

Hydro-Honey Java from Pair Cupworks. This is the first 're-hydrated' coffee I've tried and it seems mostly alright. I am interested in learning more about this processing but there wasn't a very distinct smell from the beans and in cup it tasted very much of nuts and stone-fruit, which could be a decent daily drinker but not my usual taste preference. 5/10

Villa Clabelina from Prolog coffee. I've only done pourover brews of this and the funky description is definitely right. I get a bit of the processing and anaerobic smell immediately from the beans and in cup I get red fruit and acidity at the start and ends with the anaerobic processing notes. Not sure if this is something I can drink daily but very enjoyable from time to time. 7/10

Los Uvas from Apollon's Gold in Japan again. This had a lot of fruity acidity from the onset but got more of the muscat and floral notes as the cup cooled down with increase in vibrancy as well. A very complex cup and one of my favorites from the last couple of months. 9/10
